callisto is a self-built x86 PC that has served in various roles over three major hardware iterations.

History

Build Generations

Callisto has seen numerous upgrades over its lifetime including two major rebuilds. Most upgrades were done with spare parts from other machines.

  • 2014-12-05 Change case to NZXT H440 and GPU to Radeon 5870.
  • 2013-10-18 Update to Windows 8.1.
  • 2012-12-31 Install 250GB SATA HDD from inari and Windows 8.
  • 2012-11-16 Becomes first machine to move to new location.
  • 2012-06-23 Return to Room 102.
  • 2012-06-21 Reinstall OpenIndiana on other 200GB ATA HDD.
  • 2012-06-20 One 200GB ATA HDD determined to be cause of system unresponsiveness.
